Bioengineers at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital built a mitochondria-targeting "nanozyme" (a MXene contraption led by Bing Fang's group) that mops up damage inside cartilage cells, restarts mitophagy, and shuts down the same mtDNA→cGAS/STING inflammation loop — this time in osteoarthritis.
